Banks Lane Infant and Nursery School
We are a community infant and nursery (4-7) co-educational day school. It is nondenominational. There were 272 infant pupils o roll in September 2015 and 90 places for the reception age group will be made available for the new year. School also has a 40 place part-time place nursery unit.
Banks Lane Infant School has been graded as 'Outstanding' by Ofsted on 3 occasions. Our desire is to help each child develop his/her own potential to the full within a happy, caring stimulating and just environment. During the primary school years children are passing through a period of constant change, development and growth. Not only physically but intellectually, socially, emotionally and spiritually. We are aware of these considerations when preparing our curriculum, and find that desirable attitudes to learning are as important as learning the facts and mastering the skills. The will to learn must be present or progress will be restricted.
