JOE HOWARTH
Hi, my names Joe and I have a son currently in reception, I have 2 daughters that are now in juniors, I’ve known the school a number of years. I’d like to stand as parent governor to address at a senior level recent local bad press regards bullying, sen needs, and a couple of other issues, I will do what I can to ensure our children’s needs are met and staff held accountable for implementing policies and change. Thankyou
CLAIRE MCKEAN
My name is Claire McKean and my son **** is currently in Reception. My niece attended Banks Lane School, graduating in 2022. And many moons ago, my Father-in-law did too! I have lived in the Offerton area for 21 years. My background is in Procurement, Service Co-ordination/Training and Health & Safety where I have worked well with people from all backgrounds. I have gained knowledge of working to tight budgets and analysing data. I would like to use my experience as well as my passion about the environment my child is being educated in, to volunteer and help our school be a great place for our children to thrive in. I am a confident speaker and will address any difficult issues on behalf of the children of our school. I am lucky enough to have the time to commit to this role, carry out any governor training and attend meetings. I volunteered over the Christmas period and will be putting myself forward for any future opportunities to assist in helping out. I am keen to support our school and its dedicated staff who work tirelessly in ensuring our children have a safe place to learn in and that it is running as efficiently as possible. Thank you for your consideration to join the school governance of Banks Lane School.
THOMAS WARD
I wish to be nominated for governor as my daughter attends the school. And I also have other children so I have many ideas I wish to suggest to the school. And working with other governors at school I'm sure we could make the school a great place for our children.
