Banks Lane Infant and Nursery - End of Year Report Guidance

Attendance
For a child to reach his or her full educational achievement a high level of school attendance is essential. Evidence shows that students of all abilities under-perform greatly as their attendance drops towards 90%. We are constantly striving to improve attendance.

Average attendance:-
Local and national averages are between 95 and 96 % 
Average attendance of 90% or below is a cause for concern

Attainment in Reception

  • Pupils recorded as ‘Working at the expected level’ have met the national age related expectations or ‘Early Learning Goals’.

  • Pupils recorded as ‘Working towards’ are likely to have met some but not all of the age related expectations.

  • Pupils recorded as ‘Exceeding’ have met the national expectations and will be deepening and extending knowledge in a range of situations.
