Banks Lane Infant and Nursery - End of Year Report Guidance

Attendance 
For a child to reach his or her full educational achievement a high level of school attendance is essential. Evidence shows that students of all abilities under-perform greatly as their attendance drops towards 90%. We are constantly striving to improve attendance.
Our school target for attendance is 97%

Room for Growth -  Below 94%    
Expected - Between 95 - 96%
Excellent - Above 97%

  • Local and national averages are between 95 and 96 %
  • Average attendance of 90% or below is a cause for concern

  • Pupils recorded as ‘Working at the expected level’ have met the national age related expectations or ‘Early Learning Goals’.
  • Pupils recorded as ‘Working towards’ are likely to have met some but not all of the age related expectations.
