PSHE helps us to develop the knowledge, skills and personal qualities we need to keep ourselves healthy and safe and to thrive in our world. It teaches us that we can make a difference to ourselves and others.

PSHE is taught under the headings of Health and Wellbeing, Relationships and Living in the Wider World and includes teaching of British Values, anti-bullying, Relationships Education, e-safety, healthy lifestyles and direct teaching of school values. Through this we are able to lay down essential foundations for life. 

A range of additional events including NSPCC assemblies, Step Outside Road Safety, Dental Nurse talks, visits from the Fire Service, Forest School, Growing Club, Mindful Lunchtimes and our annual Multicultural Market strengthen our PSHE offer. 
​Within Banks Lane Infant and Nursery School, SRE (Sex and Relationships Education) is delivered in terms of Relationships and Health Education and the statutory elements of the science curriculum.
